Hi,

You might be receiving these errors due to the mentioned applications.

Have you tried uninstalling them to see if the same issue will occur? Is your Windows 8.1 updated?

In the meantime, here are some troubleshooting steps you can follow to resolve the blue screen issue in Windows 8.1.

We'll be waiting for your response.

Regards.

My system is up to date fully.  I removed NOX from the system, and it asked me why I uninstalled it using the very problem I have (minus crashing the system when you close it) with it stopping at 99% as an option.  I am going to research their site and maybe contact their technical support.

Anyway, I uninstalled it after rebooting.  When I reinstalled, the same irritating issue recurred as I saw the BSOD again (the blue color they use these days is more pleasant than the old one at least).  Sorry, 'no joy'.  If you can think of anything else, I would appreciate it.  There were some things going on today and I had pull out my TeClast Tablet to deal with it.  That's okay, but it is just a 'lot' more convenient when I  am sitting in front of the computer to be able to use Android on it as well.  It is an annoyance I suppose.  I own a new, and a little older, and an older tablet along with a nice Android phone which is almost as big as a Phablet.  It just is much more convenient having the emulators running on the desktop where I can switch back and forth with them.

I will see what the NOX site has to say, and I might download and use one of the inferior Android emulators and see if it continues.  If all else fails, I might go back to a restore point to last week when it was working wonderfully.  I am open to any and all suggestions.

That's a great idea!

You may go back to a recent point in time before the issue started happening through the system restore.

Keep us updated.

Are you using Avast Antivirus? If so just uninstall it, and it should fix the problem you're having hopefully.

Hi Monica,

I tried a clean boot but still had the same issue.

I don't recall making any changes to the computer prior to the issue... the only thing I can think of was that I updated the graphics driver 3-4 weeks ago, but this problem didn't start until the 20th of October. Do you have any other suggestions?

Thanks

I don't have Avast. I have AVG but I have tried turning the firewall off prior to starting bluestacks/nox/memu and the problem still happened for me.
